Babu Owino charged with attempted murder

Embakasi Member of Parliament Philip Ongili who is also known as Babu Owino has been charged with attempted murder.

Owino was arraigned at Milimani Law Court on Monday where he was charged but pleaded not guilty. He spent three nights at Gigiri police station.

The controversial MP allegedly shot and wounded a Disc Jockey (DJ) who has been identified as Felix Orinda at B Club in Nairobi on Thursday night.

He was arrested and detained at Kilimani Police Station but was later transferred to Gigiri Police Station.
