No company in Kenya has achieved gender balance at the board, executive, senior management and workforce, according to a new gender equality report released today by the Nairobi Securities Exchange.

According to the report, only three listed companies namely Barclays Bank of Kenya, Stanbic holdings and Wpp Scan group have achieved gender balance at three out of four levels.

The report shows that Kenya has scored 26% in terms of gender equality with standard chartered bank scoring the highest gender equality score at 63%.

Nairobi Securities Exchange Chief Executive Officer, Geoffrey Odundo has said more capacity building needs to be done to prepare women for senior management positions.
